Interested in Providing First-Year Students an Opportunity to Hear from IST Student Ambassadors?
As a pilot this fall, the IST Diplomats visited a first-year seminar class to discuss their experience as IST students and provide an opportunity for first-year students to ask questions about student life and resources. The reviews were outstanding!
If you would like to schedule a group of Diplomats to speak with your students and answer their questions related to understanding college resources for students, building resumes, joining student organizations, and exploring opportunities for internships and careers, then you may submit a brief request form or contact diplomats@psu.edu. Career Solutions will assist you in scheduling and preparing this activity in your upcoming first-year seminar course. Please note that this is currently only available for UP courses, with the intent to expand to World Campus in the future.
Call for Proposals – Teaching and Learning with Technology Symposium Proposals Open Jan 4
This year’s TLT symposium will be accepting presentation proposals starting on Jan 4. The event will span three days and multiple topic areas to help Penn Staters to share ideas that are transforming education. For registration and information on the proposal process, refer to the TLT Symposium page.
Request World Campus Course Templates
If you are teaching a Resident Instruction (RI) version of a College of IST course, you can request a copy of the World Campus (WC) course template for that course. Many of the courses that run in residence have an online WC version, and while the format is different from the RI section, you may find useful elements that you can utilize in remote instruction.
Learning Design Support
The Learning Design team is available to help you!
Email the Learning Design team with specific questions or to schedule a consultation at LD@ist.psu.edu and one of the team members will get back to you as soon as possible.
Have a Wonderful Winter Break
