Copyright Protection Update
Course Hero: Our copyright protection team is continuing to regularly remove course materials from the Course Hero website (for both World Campus and residential courses offered by the College of IST). We just passed a milestone in the number of links that have been removed to date – 2000! Please continue to watch for email notifications that will come from Smartsheet and/or Laura Adams, requesting permission to act on your behalf.
Chegg: We rely on instructors to report infractions of course materials posted to the Chegg website. If you suspect a student may be posting or using online materials, we suggest you take the following steps:
- Perform an online search (Google, etc.) using a title or question from an assignment.
- Look for search results that include www.chegg.com in the URL.
- Review the link(s) to see if they include your materials.
Use this form to Report a Chegg Copyright Infraction, and we will take the needed steps to remove the course materials.
Upcoming Online Meetings
We really enjoy meeting virtually with our faculty at our Online Teaching and Learning meetings. Meetings typically happen the last Friday every month, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. via Zoom. Meetings will be recorded for those who are unable to attend. The recording will be placed in Box.

Internship and Job Resources for Your Students
Did you know IST’s Office of Career Solutions features several resources to help your students with their internship and job search?
Nittany Lion Careers offers a wealth of information to help students find an internship or job. This Penn State Career Services system allows students to search internship and job postings, schedule on-campus interviews, register for careers fairs and workshops plus access other job posting resources. Nittany Lion Careers launched in June 2018 and replaced Compass and Nittany Lion Career Network.
Career Library features short videos to help your students while they are looking for an internship or job. Accessible 24-7, these videos include topics such as interview skills, networking, resumes, and much more.
