Welcome to the College of IST Learning Design eNewsletter
August 2018
We’re Back!
After a brief work-at-home period during building renovations, we are happy to report we are back on campus and ready for your visit! You can find us in our new, colorful offices in the Westgate building at the University Park campus. We are on the first floor and may be accessed by entering E103 and asking for Learning Design.
Online Meeting
If you can’t visit our new offices in person, be sure to visit us online as we will resume our monthly Online Teaching and Learning meetings on August 31st, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. The meeting will take place via Zoom and will be recorded for those who are unable to attend. For the next meeting, we will discuss best practices for teaming and new semester questions. Please come with good ideas and best practices to share. The meeting recording will be placed in Box.
If you would like to suggest a future agenda topic, please contact Amy Garbrick at agarbrick@ist.psu.edu. These meetings will typically take place on the last Friday of the month, at lunchtime, via Zoom.
Pro Expo
We know many of our online faculty also teach at the commonwealth campuses and may be interested in the upcoming Pro Expo, a recruiting event that gives students the chance to explore career and internship opportunities. The Pro Expo is happening Monday, September 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Nittany Lion Inn.
